Industrial Mechanics / Wind Technician
Job description:
Ventos Power Plus is seeking Experienced Traveling Wind Turbine Technicians to support wind projects throughout the United States. This role is responsible for performing advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities on wind turbine systems in accordance with OEM and site requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and corrective repairs on wind turbine components, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Inspect, diagnose, adjust, and repair wind turbines to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Accurately document work performed in accordance with client and company procedures
- Comply with all safety policies, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and site-specific requirements
- Travel continuously to wind sites across the U.S. with rotation periods typically lasting 4–6 weeks at a time
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Wind Turbine Technician
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel 100% nationwide for extended rotations
- Pay is based on experience and certifications
Physical & Safety Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment background screening and drug testing
- Must pass a pre-employment physical administered by a certified medical examiner
- Must meet body weight restrictions of 270 lbs or less, per safety regulations
- Ability to lift and manipulate up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb vertical ladders and work at heights of 300+ feet
- Ability to climb multiple turbines per day
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in adverse and extreme weather conditions
